Eternity Rise From the Ashes

Eternity: Rise from the Ashes served as the conclusion to the trilogy begun in Survivor IX and Survivor XVII. Sporting a much darker theme and feel than either of those two preceding tournaments, Rise from the Ashes centered on themes of revenge, death, betrayal, redemption, and the sins of the past on a personal level. The Overstory served to tie up all loose ends left hanging by the stories begun in IX and XVII, while also leaving room open for future stories to be told.
Due to the large time gap between SXVII and Rise from the Ashes, and the fact that this canon had been used only in said tournaments (Erynmere canon, as opposed to Eternal--though both take place inside the Continuous), an encyclopedia and timeline of sorts, containing concise entries on important people and events was prepared by the hosts well ahead of the tournament (on the Random Insanity forums) so that old and new players alike could familiarize themselves with its history.
Rise from the Ashes ended with the death of several overstory NPCs and the resolution of the tales begun in SIX and SXVII.

Rounds
Rise from the Ashes consisted of five 48-hour rounds and a 24-hour omake as well as a 24-hour final round followed by an afterparty which was unofficially closed after eight days.
Several of the round locations used in Rise from the Ashes were altered from their canon origins. The Dipan and Cloud City rounds both would have looked like they would fit right into their respective source material at first glance, but in both cases the situation of the canon characters present was considerably changed from the original source.

Host Cast
In a situation not quite so straightforward as "save the world from The Void," the host cast of Rise from the Ashes scoured the The Multiverse to find help in an attempt to settle old scores once and for all. Sponsor characters were recruited by Eir and Zeran on the promise that Zeran would repay the help offered with his own considerable powers of multiversal time and space alteration.

Sponsor Cast
Rise from the Ashes allowed participants to sponsor defined characters from any published video game, anime, manga, or comic book, so long as those characters had sufficient strength so that they fell between the lower limits set by the Red Standard and the upper limits defined by the Divinity Ban. Personal assists were allowed.
For various reasons, Rise from the Ashes saw a large amount of drops and no-shows as it ran its course. While the gameplay side of the tournament continued even after the switch to the A/R-Vote system in round 2, it was not until the semi-finals (round 5) that the gameplay results actually decided the fate of any participants.

*In round 2, the gameplay system was changed from its modified SIX system to a standard A-Vote/R-Vote system, due to the primary system host, Onyx, having to drop out for personal health reasons. As such, players who had not participated in the gameplay were not penalized and there were no eliminations in this round, only one drop.
