Rurouni Taikai: Legacy was a side tournament held from October 10th, 2005, to October 19th, 2005, on the Final Fantasy Online Forums. Hosted by Lucent, Rain and Ashilyn. Rurouni Taikai: Legacy had a sponsor pool composed of cany character that met the Purple Standard but did not exceed the Silever standard, and could be from any form of printed media. It was the story of a group of people from throughout the multiverse, known as the Seekers Of Knowledge, who were pulled into a search for the 5 Shards Of The Sword Of Betrayal, along with a archeologist named Klein Irin and the Eternals Special Investigations team AEGIS. Seril was the winner of the tournament, playing as Walnut from the Nippon Ichi game Phantom Brave.

This tournament occured in the Eternals canon. It heatured a few Eternals (The AEGIS team, as well as an apperance by Sophia and Lenna Leamonde in the Epilogue) and also introduced a new faction into the Eternals canon: The Endless.
